Data Protection

Thank you for your interest in our online presence. The protection of your personal information is very important to us. At this point we would like to inform you about the privacy policy of our company. Of course, we comply with all German legal provisions such as Data Protection Act (BDSG), Telemedia Act (TMG) and other privacy legislation.

You can trust us with your personal data! Your data gets encrypted by digital security systems and is transmitted directly to us. Our websites are technically protected against damages, destruction or unauthorized access.

The subject of data protection

The subject of data protection is personal data. According to § 3 I BDSG personal data refers to individual information about personal or material circumstances of an identified or identifiable natural person. This includes information such as name, postal address, e-mail address or telephone numbers, and if applicable also usage data such as your IP address.

Scope of the data collection and storage

In general, you do not need to provide personal information to use our website. However in order to actually provide our services we might need your personal data. This applies both to the sending of information material or ordered goods as well as to the answering of individual requests.

In case you ask us to provide a service or the sending of goods, we collect and store your personal data only in so far as it is necessary for providing the services or fulfilling the contract. This may require disclosing your personal information to companies we use to provide the requested service or that are involved in the contract execution. These companies might e.g. be service or logistic providers.

In case we carry out one of the following actions or services we want to collect and store your personal data and will be asking for your explicit consent at the concerned point in our website:

  • sending of the newsletter
  • credit check
  • payment methods
  • other services or offers for which your explicit consent regarding data collection is required

Unless you explicitly consented to a long-term storage of your data, once the contract execution is finalized your data will be blocked and deleted after the saving period required by tax and commercial law has expired.

If you have registered for the newsletter with your e-mail address, we might use your e-mail address to send you additional information relevant to your business. You can at any time and without giving reasons require us to stop informing you.

Data collection through Google Analytics

Our website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. Google Analytics uses "cookies". These are text files that are stored on your computer and allow an analysis of your use of the site. For example, information about your computer’s operating system, your browser, your IP address, the website previously visited by you (referrer URL) and the date and time of your visit to our website is detected. The information about the use of our site generated by this text file is transferred to a Google server in the US and stored there.  Google will use this information to evaluate your use of our website, compile reports on website activity for the website operators and provide other services related to website activity and internet usage. When required by law, or where third parties process the information on Google's behalf, Google will pass on this information to these third parties. Google uses the DoubleClick DART Cookie. Users can disable the use of the DART cookie by visiting the privacy provisions of the advertising network and content network of Google.

No direct personal user data is stored, only the Internet protocol address. This information is used to automatically recognize you on your next visit to our websites and to facilitate navigation. 

Of course, you can view our website without cookies. If you do not want us to recognize your computer, you can prevent cookies from being stored on your hard drive by selecting "no cookies" in your browser's preferences. Please refer to your browser instructions for more details. However if you do not accept cookies, you may limit the functionality of our offers.

Collection and storage of user data

In order to optimize our website we store data such as date and time of the page visit, the page from which you have accessed our site, and the like. This is done anonymously, without identifying the user of the site personally. If anything, user profiles might be created using a pseudonym. Again, there is no link between the individuals behind the pseudonym and the collected usage data. To collect and store data, we also use cookies. This data is collected solely for statistical purposes in order to further optimize our web presence and make our internet offers even more attractive. The collection and storage takes place exclusively in anonymous or pseudonymous form and leaves no connection to you as a natural person.

Purpose bound data use

We adhere to the principle of purpose bound data usage and collect, process and store your personal data only for the purposes for which you have provided your information. A disclosure of your personal information to third parties does not take place without your explicit consent unless this is necessary to provide the service or to execute the contract.  Furthermore communication of your  information to state institutions and authorities only takes place in the context of legal information obligations or if we are required by a court decision to provide information.

We also take internal corporate data protection very seriously. Our employees and the service providers appointed by us are sworn to secrecy and to comply with all data protection regulations.

Information disclosure right and right of withdrawal

You are entitled to request and receive at any time and without reason information about all your data saved by us. You can at any moment demand your data stored by us to be blocked, corrected or deleted. Also, you can at any time and without giving reasons, revoke your consent to us collecting and using your data.
